IntuiKey Script Application Software Utility If your IntuiKey KBD-Universal model will be used to control macros of an Allegiant series matrix switcher/controller system, the IntuiKey Script Application (ISA) software program will need to be downloaded and installed on your PC. The ISA software program is used to customize the Command Script menu screens of the keyboard. The ISA software must be downloaded and installed on a Windows 2000, XP, VISTA (32 or 64 bit), or Windows Server 2003 based PC. The ISA software supports all languages available in the IntuiKey. IntuiKey firmware v1.94 or later is required when ISA software is used.

The IntuiKey Downloader utility program is used to replace the default languages with any of the alternative language tables available below. The IntuiKey Downloader must be downloaded and installed on a Windows 2000, XP, VISTA (32 or 64 bit), or Windows Server 2003 based PC. Download the IntuiKey Downloader at the link below. Save the file in a temporary folder, and then run it to install the software. Follow the on-screen prompts once the install program begins. All language table files include the latest operating firmware.

If you simply want to update to the latest firmware, download and install the Factory default language table. Click the appropriate link(s) to download the desired language table files. The files are backward compatible with all previous models of the IntuiKey keyboard series, including KBD-Universal, KBD-Digital and KBD-Mux. NOTE: The IntuiKey's internal memory capacity was increased in October 2002. This allows product manufactured after this date to support a total of 13 languages at one time. If a language table containing 13 languages is downloaded into one of the older IntuiKey models, only the first 5 languages will be transferred.

For this reason, separate language table files containing the remaining languages are available. In addition, other language tables that are not part of the default languages are made available for download.

Firmware and Language Table file transfer details When prompted, download the language table file(s) into the same folder that was specified when the IntuiKey Downloader program was installed. If multiple Language Table files are downloaded from this site, they can easily be identified by the language abbreviations in the file names. For example, the Factory Default Language Table file containing firmware and 13 languages would have a name similar to: 'appENESNLFRDEITPLPTTRHUSVFIDA1.94.00.00.S20' For reference, here is a list of the language abbreviations used in the file names. To prevent the “S20” file from being opened up incorrectly, download the desired Language/firmware file(s) by right clicking on the desired link above and selecting option to “Save target as”. Save file into the same folder used for the Downloader utility program. Connect the serial RS-232 cable between the keyboard and an available PC com port. Place keyboard into 'bootloader' mode by holding the '1' and '0' buttons simultaneously while you power up the keyboard. For very old keyboards, it is important to release the buttons as soon as the keyboard initializes or it will bypass the bootloader mode. It is also possible to enter the bootloader mode using the 'Firmware Upgrade' option found in the Keyboard Control menu. When prompted, press the '1' and '0' buttons simultaneously.

If necessary, detailed instructions regarding entering the bootloader mode can be found in the 'Readme' file supplied with the IntuiKey Downloader program. NOTE: Keyboard models containing Bootloader version 1.05 or later support the ability to transfer upgrades using a faster baud rate of 57600. Once you are in the Bootloader menu, check the lower right section of the larger LCD screen.

If you see the option for baud rate selection, press the button to select the faster rate. Your file will transfer 3 times faster compared to using the default baud rate of 19200. Open the IntuiKey Downloader program. Select the appropriate PC Com port number.

Use the ‘Browse’ button to select the appropriate 'S20' file to transfer into the keyboard. Click ‘Download’ button to begin the transfer. Depending on the table, the version of IntuiKey hardware and the selected transfer rate, an upgrade can take anywhere from 5 to 18 minutes. After transfer is complete, it is recommended to power the keyboard off/on.

It will then be ready for normal operation. Firmware Release History To assist in determining if an update is required, here is a summary of the IntuiKey firmware release information, in newest-to-oldest order: 1.96 (July 2011) Added support for 4-digit camera numbers in DVR mode.

Corrected communication problem when used with Midas DVR. 1.95 (March 2010) Added support for Japanese language. 1.94 (August 2009) Introduction of new IntuiKey Script Application (ISA) software program. Adds support for Arabic language and new ISA software in IntuiKey keyboard. 1.93 (March 2009) This release adds support for “6-digit Camera ID” feature when keyboard is used with large model Allegiant matrix systems. 1.92 (December 2008) This release adds support for the virtual camera features available in the Divar XF (software version 2.x) series of digital video recorders. 1.91 (July 2008) A problem was corrected related to normal/inverse text display when keyboard is operating in Terminal Mode.

A problem was corrected related to display of error messages when keyboard is connected to Allegiant LTC 8714 series Keyboard Port Expanders. 1.90 (December 2007) Added support for 7 new languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Hungarian, Turkish and Greek) to reflect capability of latest Divar series DVRs. 1.82 (May 2007) Terminal Mode communication protocol was enhanced to support transmission of bitmap images. Support for Allegiant Keyboard User Function 46 (i.e., “3-Line Titles”) was added.

A problem was corrected related to ADIM system communication when keyboards are connected to Allegiant Keyboard Port Expander units. When the Allegiant system log-in feature is enabled, a ‘beep’ was added to the keyboard log-in process to notify operators that the keyboard is ready to accept user number and password data.

A user option to select joystick sensitivity was added to the Keyboard Controls menu. 1.81 (August 2006) When more than 8 products were being displayed in the Product Menu, a problem was corrected that resulted in corrupted displays of the information associated with the first and second devices. A problem was corrected related to commands generated by the joystick when the keyboard is used in Terminal mode. A problem was corrected related to devices being intermittently dropped from the Product Menu list when multiple keyboards are connected to multiple Divars or Multiplexers via a LTC 2604 series Keyboard Port Expander. 1.80 (January 2006) New Allegiant User Function buttons were added, including the option to select the Allegiant Bilinx Data Interface port (User Function 39), the Camera Auto Phase Adjustment feature (User Function 44), and the Display of Allegiant CPU Temperature feature (User Function 45).

To eliminate the chance of operator error, the “0” and “Enter” buttons must now be held down for more than ½ second before the ‘Quick Select’ mode is activated. The behavior of the keyboard was changed so that the beeper stops sounding after an operator acknowledges an alarm while in ADIM mode. A change was made to improve the detection of Terminal Mode communications while the keyboard is in Product Search mode. Additional improvements were made so that the correct user number is always displayed instead of an incorrect message “Device locked by user 0”. 1.73 (August 2005) Implemented Allegiant RS-232 protocol communication mode.

Implemented Auto Baud rate detection when in Allegiant communication mode. Response time was improved to allow an Allegiant operator to quickly enter a camera number immediately after changing to a control a new monitor number. Added 'Comm error' message for situations where user connects keyboard up to Allegiant system configured to operate in (the unsupported) '4-poll' or '8-poll' communication mode. When in ADIM mode, a problem was corrected that caused the keyboard to operate incorrectly if the operator tried to select a different monitor after exiting the Search menu of a Hi-Q DVR. If the iconic font table has not been installed on a keyboard operating in Terminal mode, an incorrect response no longer occurs when the external Application software attempts to use an iconic character.

A status display problem was corrected that may occur when the MON button is pressed while in Allegiant Sequence and/or Arm/Disarm programming modes. A problem was corrected that caused the keyboard to generate random lengths of repeated data packets when Auxiliary On/Off commands were issued. A problem was corrected so that a valid user number is displayed instead of the incorrect message “Device locked by user 0”. A problem was corrected where the keyboard may incorrectly issue the message 'Error 94 Keyboard Entry Invalid' after entering a camera number during Allegiant Sequence programming.

'Allegiant Alert' message is now shown in the status display if an Allegiant system goes into an alarm state while the keyboard is operating in the Terminal mode. A problem was corrected where the keyboard may show incorrect iconic type characters in the status display as a result of an operator running an Allegiant macro script. A problem was corrected where the bottom line of a box drawn on the LCD display would remain after a command was issued to clear it while the keyboard is operating in the Terminal mode. A problem was corrected where an extra line or extra pixels appear in the Status display when the Print Status command is issued to the keyboard while operating in the Terminal mode.

1.60 (April 2005) Implemented support for IntuiKey Terminal mode operation in KBD-Universal model. 1.50 (March 2005) Support for iconic-based languages has been implemented.

Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean languages join the existing English, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Czech, Russian, Slovak, languages are now supported. To avoid inadvertent mode changes, the behavior of the “Shot” button has been modified so that is will not become “Set” unless held down for more than 2 seconds. The behavior of the Divar/Mux Audio On/Off button has been changed so it is now possible to silence audio beeping during alarm conditions. A problem has been corrected where the status display would not revert to monitor entry mode if the “Mon” button is pressed during entry of a Shot or Set function.

In the Language selection screen, a problem was corrected where the schema number was not being displayed correctly. 1.40 (July 2004) New commands have been added to be compatible with ADIM version 2.10 communication protocols.

When in ADIM mode, it is possible for the operator to lock the joystick in fast forward or reverse position during DVR playback by pressing the top Iris button. The button designations and functions in ADIM menu #17 dynamically adapt based on the DVR model being controlled. A new ‘Exit All ADIM mode” softkey button has been added to ADIM menu #17 that is used to cancel multiple monitor playback sessions and exit the DVR control menu.

A problem has been corrected where an operator would receive a repeated request to enter a User ID and password when logging into a large Allegiant system using keyboard #16 with a 6-digit password. When the keyboard is displaying an error message, joystick data transmissions will no longer continue after the joystick is released. If the download process is aborted or fails during a firmware download session, the keyboard no longer needs to be powered off/on before trying again. In Allegiant mode, camera number entry will no longer fail if entered during an 'invalid camera' error message condition. When selecting a menu item of a HI-Q during an ADIM session, the ENTER button will now be recognized even if pressed in rapid succession. 1.30 (December 2003) A universal control screen was implemented in this version that supports multiple DVR models when the keyboard is being used in an ADIM v2.0 system configuration.

The product and firmware reflect updates related to Bosch branding. An alarm silence feature was added when communicating with Divar and Multiplexer devices.

Positions of 'Escape' and 'Select' buttons have been swapped in the DVR control screen (#51) to improve operator access. New Allegiant User Function buttons were added, including Allegiant Keyboard Logoff option (User Function 42), and Display Allegiant battery status (User Function 43). Allegiant 'Error 81 - Trunk Superseded' message support added.

Keyboard error message display time increased to 5 seconds. Additional version information is now displayed when viewing Bootloader screen and when viewing language selection screens. 1.22 (July 2003) This version further improved the ability of an Allegiant operator to quickly enter camera and/or monitor number changes. A new 'Go Back' feature was added to allow an Allegiant user to go back to the previous camera simply by pressing and holding the 'Clr' key for more than 1 second.

When using a Divar model DVR, the search feature is now available to all level users. The keyboard’s 'Quick Select' feature can now be used to go into or out of the ADIM menu screen. An intermittent generation of variable length Aux on or Aux off commands was corrected. 1.21 (December 2002) This version improved the keyboard response when changing Allegiant system camera and/or monitor numbers. The state of the Allegiant keyboard beeper functions, as determined by Allegiant User Function 3 is now stored in non-volatile memory. The keyboard response was modified so that it will no longer ignore certain response commands when in ADIM mode. 1.20 (October 2002) This version added support for 'Divar' series of digital video recorders.

The 'KBD-Digital' model, compatible with both Divar devices and System4 multiplexer devices was introduced with this release. Internal memory capacity was added to the IntuiKey hardware so a total of 8 language tables can be stored. A 'dynamic' Product Menu display was created.

This allows the Product Menu to display the names of only those devices actually connected to the keyboard compared to earlier versions where all device names were shown at all times. When multiple Divar or System4 multiplexer devices are connected to a keyboard, pressing and holding the 'Prod' button for more than 1 second activates a quick 'jump' feature. Enter the device number to jump to using the keypad, press Enter, and the keyboard control will immediately change over to the new device. Graphical icons have been added to depict Divar and System4 alarm conditions.

A 'bell' type icon will be displayed on the keyboard's LCD display when contact closure type alarms are being applied to a device. A 'running man' type icon will be displayed during motion type alarms. 1.10 (July 2002) This version added support for 'ADIM' system configurations. ADIM systems are configurations that integrate an Allegiant matrix switcher, IntuiKey keyboards, and the Hi-Q series of digital video recorders together.

Operation of the keyboard 'SHOT' button was enhanced to allow entry of a preposition scene to be stored when the button is pressed twice. An Advanced Menu button was added in the main Camera Control menu to reduce the number of keys that must be pressed to access an AutoDome camera's advanced programming menu. Other minor changes included an IntuiKey baud rate setting option and the following AutoDome related softkey functions: Integrate menu - Previously generated auxiliary 21 command (obsolete in current version AutoDomes); Now generates auxiliary 23.

Shutter Adjust - Previously generated auxiliary 22 command; Now generates auxiliary 23. Shutter Enable - Previously generated auxiliary 23 command; Now generates auxiliary 22. An Allegiant login related issue was corrected that with user passwords of 4 to 6 digits in length. 1.03 (June 2002) This version added support of new DVR1 series recorder features when the IntuiKey is used with the System 4 series of multiplexers. The IntuiKey features for the DVR1 and System 4 multiplexer combination requires DVR1 firmware version 1.14 or later and System 4 multiplexer firmware version 3.05 or later.

A 'quick selection' menu function was added that allows users the ability to quickly jump from one menu to other previously designated menus by pressing only 3 keystrokes. Various enhancements to multiplexer screen control features have been implemented, including those associated with navigating and selecting cameo boxes when in System4 multiplexer multi-screen views. Enhancements to the auxiliary on/off button functions were made so that data is continuously sent out as long as the button is pressed. When in System4 multiplexer mode, the VCR Control menu is automatically displayed after the Search button is pressed.

Support of Allegiant User Function 22 was implemented. This feature allows the keyboard to generate 'fixed speed' P/T/Z commands to provide control of very old receiver/driver devices, even when the Allegiant system is operating in the 'variable speed' mode. Minor changes associated with the operation of Allegiant User Functions 2, 3, and 9 were made. 1.02 (September 2001) This version corrected a minor problem that could affect the maximum limit of the joystick's zoom range during factory testing. 1.01 (May 2001) A problem was corrected to allow entry of 3 digit Allegiant sequence numbers. While in multiplexer mode, a problem associated with sending auxiliary and preposition commands above 255 was corrected.

A correction was made to reverse the function of AutoDome features Add Scene to Tour and Remove Scene from Tour. 1.00 (November 2000) This version was the firmware supplied in the first release of the IntuiKey series.

December 22, 2017 - Bosch released CDR Tool Software Version 17.6.Refer to the CDR Software Help File for supported vehicles IMPORTANT: Installing a CDR version of 3.6 or later over an existing version of CDR software will cause the CDR program to operate as a CDR file reader only, unless the software can be activated using an Activation Certificate. Activation Certificates will only be available to current CDR software subscribers. If users do not have a means to reinstall a prior version of CDR software, Bosch does not recommend installing a CDR version of 3.6 or later on a computer over a previous version until they receive their Activation Certificates Software Release.
